Physical Activity

Feel-Good Chemicals

When we exercise our brain releases 'feel good' chemicals (neurotransmitters), including endorphins and dopamine. Endorphins are your body's natural pain killers, they create a positive feeling of well-being. Dopamine is responsible for the feelings of pleasure, motivation and satisfaction, when you feel you have achieved something good you get a surge of dopamine.
